Narendra Modi on World Youth Skills Day PMKVY is implemented by National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) under the guidelines of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). With a vision of a Skilled India, MSDE is having only one aim i.e. to raise the standard of living of the people and provide skillful training to the youth of the nation so that they can have good tomorrow .MSDE is responsible for the major coordination with all sectors for the development of an adequate and required skill development framework, managing an equilibrium connection between demand and supply of skilled labor or manpower d mapping of existing skills, doing market research, revising the whole training pattern and their content, industry-institute linkage, bringing PPP element in stilling, making broad policies for all other Ministries/Departments, framing policies for soft skills, IT education, work relating to Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and expansion of youth entrepreneurship education

After successful completion of this scheme during its first year the Union Cabinet has approved the Scheme for another four years (2016-2020) to let the people of our nation to have the benefit of this scheme.Large number of youth is targeted under this scheme so that they will not become unemployed and must have some skills in their hand so that at the time of hunting employment they will not find any problem.

The training that is given to the candidates at PMKVY Training Centres (TCs) has to give the advantage to those candidates who fulfill their certain guidelines such as candidate must have Indian Nationality either school/college dropouts or unemployed. This training will also include

training in Soft Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. The course of period of the training is depending on the basis of job role which may range between 170 and 300 hours.
